Hampson hearing postponed until Friday, Feb. 10
A hearing scheduled for Friday in the case of 26-year-old Luther Hampson was postponed until Feb. 10.
Hampson is accused of the murder of 27-year-old Jonathan Hayes of Dolores, who was found dead Jan. 14 in the hills near Dolores.
Few details about the case have been released by officials.
Hampson is charged with first-degree murder, and four sentence enhancing counts of crime of violence and habitual criminal. According to a complaint filed by the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s office, the alleged murder is said to have taken place Jan. 6.
The defense in the case have said they have not seen any evidence linking Hampson to the crime.
The defendant remains on a $300,000 bond in the Montezuma County Detention Center.
