Jessey Joy Gilpin

Jessey Joy Gilpin, 67, formerly of Mancos, passed away Aug. 20, 2012. He was born June 26, 1945, in Cortez. Jessey owned ACT Detailing. He had recently moved to Idaho to be closer to his children.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith Van Pelt Gilpin.

He is survived by his four children, Mary Duncombe, Elaine Bullington, Ray Gilpin and Jessey Gilpin, Jr.; three stepsons, Luke, Marc and Jeff Roberts; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother; three sisters; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in New Plymouth, Idaho on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 2:30 p.m., at the New Plymouth Park. A later memorial will be held in Mancos over the 4th of July weekend in 2013. For more information, call 208-452-2322.

Jessey loved music, dancing, family, laughing and just having fun. He had a way of making you feel special and loved. His strength and love will live on forever.
