Wayne Peabody and Kirk Dudley congratulate each other on the second-annual Toy Run from Durango to Cortez Saturday. The motorcycle club members left Desperados in Durango and rode to Angel’s End Zone in Cortez with about 40 riders. Last year the Toy Run collected about $500 plus toys, and this year Dudley estimates about $6,500 has been donated plus lots of toys. The money goes to people in need in the community and the toys are distributed to local children. Part of the money is slated to go to the American Legion in Cortez.
