Luci Rose King

Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident, Luci Rose King, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery.

Luci was born on Nov. 17, 1965 to Delbert King, Sr. and Lucy May (Hight) King in Cortez. She passed away on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at her home at the age of 46.

Luci loved to garden and spend time cooking. Luci’s greatest pleasure in life was weekend outings to yard sales.

Surviving Luci are her husband, Alan Harney of Towaoc; her children, Shaquille Cody Cohoe of Albuquerque, N.M., Christian Ray Cohoe of Gallup, N.M., Vinton Vicenti Jr., Vinson Vicenti, and Vanson Vicenti, all of Cortez; her siblings, Delbert King, Jr. and wife Nora, Rita King, Denice Parambo, Everett King and wife Ladona, all of Towaoc; her uncles, Wilbert Root Sr. and family of Towaoc, and Tommy May of Towaoc; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Luci was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Lucy King; the woman who raised her during her childhood and taught Luci native customs, Lizzie Shed Jacket; her niece, Tracey King; her aunt, Charlene Washington; and her brothers, Bernard King and Ulysses King.
