$PHOTOCREDIT_ON$Bobby Woelz trims limbs off a tree he just cut down on Haycamp Mesa. Woelz is part of the Green Veterans Program where returning vets are hired through the Southwest Youth Corps to help them adjust after their tour of duty. The Forest Service provides the land that needs to be thinned out. The crews take out 5- to 12-inch trees to help prevent future forest fires. Wood from the trees is available to the public to use for firewood if they purchase a permit. $PHOTOCREDIT_OFF$
