Ella Virginia Pumphrey was born April 3, 1924 in Oakland, Calif., the daughter of James Edward and George Catherine (Pride) Waddell. She passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at her Mancos home at the age of 88.

Surviving Ella are her daughter, Pam Kochery of Cliff, N.M.; her grandchildren, Ivan Kotcher of England, Glynis Verrazzano and Sandy Culpepper of Mancos; her great-grandchildren, Zoe and Jason Culpepper; and her sister, Sarah Waddell of Silver City, N.M.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
