A 25-year-old Cortez woman was arrested Wednesday morning and is accused of stabbing her brother twice in the back. Tonie Lapahie was arrested after a verbal argument between the two allegedly turned physical. The Cortez Police Department was called to the residence at about 2:35 a.m. and the victim was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Cortez Police Department said the case is still under investigation.
