Dante Vallejos wades out into the icy waters of the Dolores River to retrieve his hook that is hung up on a rock. The fishermen all complain that the number of hooks lost in the snagging process is the bad part of salmon snag.

Catching their limit, salmon snaggers are able to fill their buckets as the Kokanee are making their run upstream.
