Archibeque nabs Player of Week

American center Kirk Archibeque had a great game in the last round for second-ranked MIA Academy.

Archibeque received the Player of the Week award for Round 9.

The 28-year-old had a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Kutaisi (No. 5, 5-3) by a 17-point margin, 87-70.

MIA Academy is in the Georgian Superleague and has a solid 7-1 record.

Archibeque has turned into MIA Academy's top player in his first season with the team. The former Fort Lewis College and Montezuma-Cortez star has very solid stats this year.

Archibeque is second in the league in scoring (20.7 points per game) and rebounds (12.7 rpg), and averages an impressive 58 percent shooting from the field.
