The Cortez Public Library would like to thank the following for making our third annual Christmas tree giveaway such a success: The Pinon Project, Walmart, Beech Street Preschool and our Storytime children and parents. The children of Storytime decorated a donated Christmas tree with donated and handmade ornaments as their community service project, to be given to a family in need. This year two trees were given to the Pinon Project, which selects the recipients. Pictured are Laura McHenry of the Cortez Public Library and Bonnie Tibbits, the director of the Treehouse Early Learning Center (affiliated with the Pinon Project), in front of one of the trees.
