Bonnie Cox
Bonnie Cox, age 90, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Azalea Health and Rehab Center in Metter, Ga. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa and lived many years in California, and in Cortez where her husband owned and operated the Donut Hole Restaurant for several years. The couple moved to Statesboro, Ga. in 1995. Ms. Cox enjoyed sewing, decorating cakes and making jewelry. She was a member of Grace Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Cox; daughter, Char Cox; grandson, Cody Tripp; brother, Clessie Armstrong; and by her sister, Charlotte Rawles.
Survivors include one son, Tim (Marylou) Ullon of San Rafael, Calif.; her daughter, Traci (Bubba) Brockman of Statesboro; six grandchildren, Toby (Jessica) Ullon, Becky (John) Walker, Dino Brockman, Tyler "Dugan" Tripp, Brittany Brockman, and Kylie Brockman; and four great-grandchildren, Tanner Ullon, Taylor and Hunter Odom, and Rayna Brockman.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home in Statesboro, Ga. The funeral service was held Thursday, Jan. 24 at Grace Community Church in Statesboro with Rev. Mike Holt officiating.
Interment was in Bulloch Memorial Gardens in Statesboro.
