Archibeque gets weekly honor

American center Kirk Archibeque (205-C-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked MIA Academy (Tbilisi, Georgia).

Archibeque received the Player of the Week award for Round 12.

The 28-year-old player had a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed Batumi (No. 8, 3-8) by a 33-point margin of 89-56. It allowed MIA Academy to solidify first-place in the Georgian Superleague. MIA Academy has a solid 9-2 record.

Archibeque has turned out to be MIA Academy's top player in his first season with the team. The former Fort Lewis College star has very solid stats this year. Archibeque is third in league scoring at 20.3 points per game and averages an impressive 59 percent shooting from the field.

Archibeque is a 2003 graduate of Montezuma-Cortez.
