Chloe Sanup Ute
Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Chloe Sanup Ute will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Towaoc Cemetery.

Chloe was born July 9, 1935, in Cottonwood Wash, Utah the daughter of Paul and Janette Ute. She passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 77.
Chloe was involved with the Ute Mountain Housing Board and the Ute Mountain Enrollment Committee. She also served on the Ute Mountain Elders Committee. Chloe had several hobbies which included playing stick game, basket making, needlepoint and crochet. She also loved to cook and spend time at the casino.
Surviving Chloe are her children, Deena Phillips and husband Elmerson of Aneth, Utah, and Manuel Heart and wife Marie of Towaoc; her grandchildren, Fredale, Antoine, Chloann, Donovan, Trent, Grant, Mike, Cameron, Sky-Dawn, Mackenzie, Connor, and Brient; 17 great-grandchildren; and niece, Emily Ute Whiteman of Towaoc. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Chloe was preceded in death by her parents; children, Rosalind Laner, Gordon Ute, and Renee Timican; and her brother, Dale Ute.
