Special to the Times
With other players (see at rear) having already turned and headed to the court's far end, Mancos' Branson Mitchell (33) keeps a Blue Jay possession alive by swiping the ball away from unsuspecting Ignacio Bobcat Austin Haire (23) during last Saturday's San Juan Basin League action inside IHS Gymnasium. Mitchell scored six points, Ro Paschal added eight, and Nigel Henry led with 11 in a 59-43 defeat. MHS led 6-5 after one quarter, trailed just 27-20 at halftime, and won the fourth by a 17-13 count; Ignacio's 19-6 third quarter was the difference.
