Joel was an avid reader and owned hundreds of books. He also loved to write and filled countless journals with his thoughts.
His dogs, Maynard and Turtle were faithful companions and often accompanied him wherever he went.
Joel loved the outdoors. He snowboarded, hiked, backpacked and enjoyed riding his bike. He also enjoyed his time with friends, playing pool, and watching films.
Joel was a compassionate, caring and loving individual. He never hesitated to stop what he was doing to give someone a hand. He often spent time at his grandparents' house to see if there was anything they needed done and to take time to visit with them over a cup of coffee.
Joel was dearly loved and appreciated by everyone who knew him. His death has caused much pain and heartache, and those that miss him, long to see him again in paradise.
"Look! The tent of God is with mankind . and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away . Write, because these words are faithful and true." Revelation 21:3-5
