Eva Gawdun was a beloved member of the Southwest Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for 24 years. While she worked mostly in the gift shop Eva's main enjoyment came from serving patients. Eva also applied her amazing needlework abilities making crafts to sell in the shop. Eva could often be seen tending the coffee cart and making sure everything was well stocked. Eva was a very sweet spirit, who welcomed everyone with a smile and if you had time, a story about her childhood. One of Eva's favorite days was Valentine's Day and she loved to hug and fasten a "Love Day" pin on all the employees before they enjoyed a smorgasbord of baked goodies provided by the Auxiliary. When she wasn't at the hospital she was often spotted working in her yard and gardening. Southwest Memorial will greatly miss Eva and all that she has done for the patients, the employees, and the hospital over her years of service. Throughout her time in the Auxiliary Eva volunteered over 5,400 hours at Southwest Memorial Hospital.
