Archibeque grabs 6th award

American center Kirk Archibeque (205-C-84) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked MIA Academy (Tbilisi, Georgia).

Archibeque received Player of the Week for Round 15.

The 28-year-old player had a double-double of 23 points and 23 rebounds, while his team edged out Rustavi (No. 4, 11-3) 96-92.

The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed MIA Academy to solidify first-place in the Georgian Superleague. MIA Academy has a solid 12-2 record.

Archibeque has turned out to be MIA Academy's top player in his first season with the team. The former Fort Lewis College and Montezuma-Cortez star has very solid stats this year. Archibeque is fourth in league scoring at 19.5 points per game and averages an impressive 58 percent shooting from the field.

It is Archibeque's sixth Player of the Week award this season.
