"Inky" is the newest arrival to the shelter. This 7-month-old female is a purring machine and super sweet. Nicknamed Inky for the black splotch on her nose, this patch tabby calico is very skinny and needs a caring family that will fatten her up and provide her with a warm, loving home. She is a petite little gal with beautiful copper colors and she's sure to make a great pet. Also available is an all black small adult cat who loves attention and will "talk" your ear off. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be closed this Friday. The fee for adoption includes spaying or neutering, vaccination, microchip and health exam. The shelter could use donations of supplies such as paper towels, Lysol, kitten food and lint rollers. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910. To view more animals, visit www.petango.com (enter 81321 zip code for each) or www.cityofcortez.com/government/animal_shelter.
