Egg hunt a big success

Kudos go to the hard-working staff at the Dolores Town Hall for putting on yet another fabulous Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Thankfully, this year we were treated to wonderful weather and a wonderful turnout. This event is held rain, snow or shine and I am told one year that as the children waited for the whistle to blow at 10 a.m., the eggs were covered in several inches of snow. (I'm thankful I missed that one.)

Kudos also go to those at McStone Gravel in Dolores. Not too long ago, they took a gravel dump truck over to the Teddy Bear Preschool and the children were simply in love with the big truck. It really is the little things in life isn't it?

Mark your calendars for an important event in Dolores on April 25. This will be the kickoff barbecue for the Dolores Trails Plan. Meet with the planners and help be a part of a trail plan system in our town. The kickoff will be at Joe Rowell Park from 5:30 to 7 p.m. I am told there will be free food.

Congratulations to the winner of the Dolores High School Talent Show last Wednesday: Rachel Bebout who played "The Merry Go Round of Life" on the piano. She won $100 and a $15 gift certificate to The Pony Expresso.
