Beth Wheeler recently spent several weeks abroad in Germany and England precisely to further enhance her studies of calligraphy. Her show, "The Art of Calligraphy" opens at the Mancos Town Gallery (at the Visitors' Center on Bauer at Boyle Park in Mancos) on Friday evening, April 12, with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. She will be showing new works and photographs from her studies in Europe. There will be refreshments and music for the enjoyment of all at the reception.

Beth is a multi-talented person in the arts. Besides her calligraphy work, Beth is a Master Teacher, musician (flute and conga drum) and most recently, a tap dancer. She also works summers as an interpretative guide at Mesa Verde National Park. The Mancos art community is glad to have her, and proud of her many facets.
