Dewitt H. Livingston
Dewitt H. Livingston (Mick), 67, passed away at his home in Glenwood Springs, Colo., on Aug. 5, 2013.
Mick was born May 23, 1946, in Durango, to Dee and Meta (Wells) Livingston, and lived with them in Pleasant View, Colo. He graduated from Montezuma County High School in Cortez in 1964 and married Donna Dale on Nov. 1, that same year.
For the next 20 years, they lived and farmed at Arriola and Pleasant View, where Mick and Donna had two children, Steve and Debbie.
In 1985 they relocated to San Diego, Calif., where Mick worked for Coca Cola. In recent years Mick lived in Phoenix, Ariz., until he moved to Glenwood Springs after his retirement.
Mick is survived by his wife Donna and son Steve of Glenwood Springs; brother Ron of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren Sean, Shannyn, Stephani (Stevie) and Madysen, as well as many other family members residing in the Cortez area. Mick was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Deborah (Debbie).
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. at the Cortez Cemetery. Mick’s ashes will be buried at his parent’s gravesite.
After the graveside service, friends and family will gather at 11 a.m, at the Arriola Community Center to share in a celebration of Mick’s life. A light lunch will be served.
