Steven Lee Woolery
Steven Lee Woolery was born in Cortez on Oct. 19, 1978, to Robert and Donna Woolery. He passed away in Wheatridge, Colo., on July 26, 2013, at the age of 34.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Woolery; stepfather, Tim Jackson; sister, Terrah Woolery, and her husband, Andrew McMann, and their children, Jordan, Jeremiah and Halie; sister, Celestina Patton, and her children, Keaton, Dametre and Lillyan; and a stepsister, Tina Jackson and her two children.
Steven had three beautiful children — Skyler Woolery, 15; Cambrie Ross, 16 months, and Falcon Woolery, 6 months — whom he loved very much. He has numerous family members and friends throughout the Four Corners area.
Steven had a lifelong dream of MMA fighting. He enjoyed life and having fun, particularly the outdoors.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Robert Woolery; by his grandparents, and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to send a special thank you to all the family and close friends who have helped out so much during this hard time. It is greatly appreciated.
Memorial services will be held at the Cortez Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Sept. 21. A memorial fund has been set up under his name at Citizens State Bank in Cortez to help his family with his final expenses.
