Nora May Bozeman
Nora May Bozeman passed away Oct. 2, 2013, at Vista Grande Inn in Cortez at the age of 87. Nora was born June 16, 1926, in Hyannis, Mass., to Joseph and Clara LaRiviere. Surviving Nora are her brother, Joseph LaRiviere and his wife, Marion of Florida; her sister, Rita Wallace and her husband, Ray Wallace of Cortez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeding Nora in death were her parents; her husband of 32 years, Louie Bozeman; and two sisters, Louise Gasser and Alice Hart. Nora was a happy talented writer who had the biggest smile for everyone. She wrote regularly for the Prime Time News in Branson, Mo. Her articles and poetry were always cheerful and beautiful. Her poetry has been and is still being published in Ideals Magazines and Salesian Inspirational Books. Fourteen of her poems have been published just this year.
Nora’s work has been published since 1968. Her love of words blossomed when she was a little girl trying to read the back of her father’s newspaper as he sat in his rocking chair reading. Her preference was writing positive, seasonal, inspirational and humorous articles as well as poetry.
As a freelance writer Nora’s work has also been published by the National Library of poetry, Poetry Guild, Ozark Mountaineer, many newspapers in Texas, Young Publications, Army Times, Senior Living, and New Hope books, among many others. She also won several first-place poetry contests. Some of her work can be found online.
As requested by Nora there has been cremation. No public services will be held. A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Nora was guided to our Heavenly Father by all the beautiful angels she wrote about. She will be remembered as one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. We will always love you, Rest in Peace.
