Funeral services for longtime Cahone resident Ilse Eberling will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at First Southern Baptist Church in Dove Creek. Interment will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Lake Havasu City, Ariz. at 1 p.m.
Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church.
Ilse was born April 13, 1935 in Kunernick, Schlesien, Poland, to Klaus and Martha (Lange) Vaupel. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at the age of 78.
Ilse married Clarence William Eberling, and to this union four children were born. She was a workaholic and very industrious, as was Clarence, so they made a great match.
Surviving Ilse are her children, Jack Eberling and wife, Susan of Cedaredge, Bruce Eberling and wife, Lisa of Edgewood, N.M., Carol Ann Chase and husband, Wade of Colorado Springs, and Ron Reynolds of Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Ilse is preceded in death by her parents, Klaus and Martha Vaupel; and her husband, Clarence.
