Jerry B. Espinoza

Jerry Espinoza, 71, of Cortez, Colorado passed away on Feb. 20, 2014 as a result of lung cancer. His wife Connie was at his side when he drifted off to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born to Joe and Clarita Espinoza of Cortez, Colo. on Dec. 18, 1941 in Mancos, Colo.

Jerry served in the Army National Guard for three years with an Artillery Unit in Cortez and was honorably discharged as an E-3 Private First Class (1958 – 1961). Jerry also worked with his father Joe Espinoza as a caretaker at the Cortez Cemetery. He also worked for Texaco Oil Exploration and held several positions with them and stayed employed with them until the exploration was discontinued. His most recent employment was with Crystal Brite Laundry in Cortez, Colorado where he worked as a maintenance man for six years.

Jerry is survived by his wife Connie Espinoza and his children Bobby Espinoza, Jerry Espinoza, Keith Espinoza, Stephanie Espinoza-Tabor, Amberly Overton, Diane Silva, and Linda Berlanga. He also had many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren who love and miss him. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother, and many nieces and nephews who also love and miss him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
