Friday, Feb. 28

Dr Robert: the Beatles Tribute Band comes to the Dolores Community Center on Feb. 28 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Admission is $10, with kids 12 and younger free. Dress to impress in retro and vintage '60s and '70s garb! All ages are welcome, bar for 21 years and older, food concession by The Pie Maker. The next Science Friday at the Mancos Public Library will be on Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This class will focus on the scientific properties of snow and are made possible by generous help from Empire Electric, Kinder Morgan and Beyond Petroleum. The 20th Annual Pueblo to Pueblo Run-Bike Event will be held April 26 and is now open for registration. Register by visiting www.cortezculturalcenter.org. The center also seeks health-conscious organizations to sponsor the event. Call 565-1151 for more information.

Saturday, March. 1

The Mancos Opera House Architectural, Restoration and Preservation Society along with the Montezuma County VFW Post No. 5231 and Ladies Auxiliary are organizing a Mardi Gras fundraiser to be held at the Mancos Opera House, 136 W. Grand Ave. on March 1 from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. This year's theme is "Hard Days Night". Tickets are $30 per person and $50 per couple. Sponsor tables are available to purchase for $300. The public is invited to dance with "Country Fix", at The American Legion, 320 N Harrison, Cortez, on March 1 at 7 p.m. $5 cover charge.

The Jon Stickley Trio will be performing at the Dolores River Brewery on March 1 at 8 p.m. Free, 21 and older, show.

Monday, March 3

Little League Baseball is open for registration. Super Saturday registration will be at Hibbett Sports on March 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Baseball is open for ages 4 to 15 as of April 30. Cost varies from $55 to $105, according to age. Registration closes March 9. The Mancos Seed Library will be hosting three seed workshops and a seed exchange in March starting with "A Celebration of Seeds" on March 3. "The intelligence of Seeds: Reproductive Biology" on March 10 and "The Abundance of Seeds: Basics of Seed Saving" on March 17. All workshops will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mt.
