Robert Rees Marsell
Robert Rees Marsell passed away at his home in Roseburg, Ore., on March 19, from cancer. He was 74.
Marsell was born June 27, 1939, in Prescott, Ariz. He married the love of his life, Bea Marsell, on Valentine’s Day in 1958. They were happily married for 56 years. The couple had two children, son Jeff Marsell and daughter Terry Langdon.
Marsell enjoyed golf, photography, the outdoors, traveling, playing guitar and singing.
Marsell and his wife owned Marsell Mercantile. He served as safety director for Union Carbide, Interstate Safety & Supply and NMI Industrial Contractors; and inspector and trainer for both the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and the Mine Safety & Heath Administration. He also owned Marsell Safety Associates.
Marsell was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Margaret Marsell. He is survived by sister Rita (Allan) Mason of Sandoval, Ill., brother Dave Marsell of Cahone, Co., and brother Doyle Marsell of Hendersen, Nev. Son Jeff (Penny) Marsell of Spokane Valley, Wash., and daughter Terry (Bob) Langdon of Bishop, Calif.
He is survived by grandchildren Deena (Chance) Hamilton, Ashley (Craig) Hutchings, Crystal (Adam) Marcellin and Lisa Cutter; plus great grandchildren Alexyss Hamilton, Braelyn Hamilton, Chase Hutchings and Cash Marcellin.
