Robert Henry Frerich
A Rosary for Robert Henry Frerich will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westminster, Colo. Funeral Mass will follow at 4 p.m. A second Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the Church of St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake, Minn.
On Dec. 4, 1945 in Oak Park, Minn., Robert was born the son of Virgil and Esther (Wipper) Frerich. He passed away in Dolores, Colo. on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the age of 68.
Robert attended grade school in Sauk Rapids, Minn. and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1963. He then attended St. Cloud State College until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1966-1969 in Germany. While attending college, Robert worked in a bakery and then worked for 3M before moving to Colorado. On June 21, 1969, he married Mary K. Bohnet. A son, Matthew James Frerich was born on September 15, 1970. They moved to Denver, and a daughter, Gretchen Marie Frerich, was born on May 16, 1972. While in Denver, he worked as a car salesman and a handyman.
He was a member of the Men’s Organization at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westminster. He loved reading, especially Louis L’Amour. Robert was a great handyman.
Surviving Robert are his daughter, Gretchen Skipworth of Denver.; his son, Matthew Frerich of Loveland.; his four grandchildren, Ashley Lynn, Justin Philip, Patrick Michael, and Morgan Ashley; his brothers, Lyle Frerich of St. Cloud, Minn., Marvin Frerich of Cheyenne, Wyo., and James Frerich of Chanhassen, Minn.; his sisters, Connie Belair of Anoka, Minn., Marjorie Cannon of Benson, Minn., and Delores Willard of Cold Spring, Minn.; along with nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Esther Frerich; and brothers, Dwain Frerich and Kenny Frerich.
Arrangements are being made through Four Corners Funeral Chapel, Cortez, Colo.
