Ronald Timothy Rios
Delta resident, Ronald Timothy Rios, passed away after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis at the Delta County Memorial Hospital. He was 52.
Ron was laid to rest on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Paonia.
Ronald Timothy Rios was born to Rudolfo Rolando and Arlene Madge (Jaccard) Rios on Aug. 14, 1961, in Los Angeles. He spent his childhood and attended schools in El Sereno and Beaumont, Calif.
On Sept. 15, 2002, Ron married Christina Talbot in Cortez, Colorado. The couple moved to Delta in 2004. Ron and Christina celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary last year.
Ron, a traveling mining salesman, enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music and watching motorcycle and Formula One Racing. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and riding his bike. Above all, he was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
Ron is survived by his wife of 11 years, Christina Rios of Delta; three sons: Nicholas Rios of Delta; Brian Rios and wife Leslie of Florida; and Jonathan Rios of Arizona; one step-daughter, Renee Talbot of Billings, Mont.; two brothers, Randall and Rudy; and eight sisters: Linda, Valerie, Penny, Pamela, Raquel, Delores, Sandra and Suzie. Ron is further survived by four grandchildren: Westin, Lina, Aurelia and Evelyn Rios; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
