Harold Edward Guest
Harold Edward Guest passed away at the Valley Inn in Mancos on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was 81 years old.
Harold was born Jan. 16, 1933, in Duncan, Okla., the son of Truman and Reba (Harris) Guest.
At age 16, Harold became a Christian at a revival in California.
On Sept. 6, 1952, in Covina, Calif., he married Jean Alice Carmichael. They were blessed with four children, Clifton, Steven, Susan and Peter. Susan and Peter had gone to heaven and were waiting to meet Harold.
The Guests moved to the Durango area in 1972.
Harold loved the Colorado outdoors, especially enjoying hunting deer and elk and snowmobiling in the Durango area.
Surviving Harold are his wife, Jean Guest of Mancos; his sons, Cliff Guest and wife, Flor and Steve Guest; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Susan and Peter; and by his sister, Sue Meese.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Arrangements are being made through Ertel Funeral Home.
