Local communities bear immigration burden

In the Journal’s July 8 editorial on immigration you did not mention how many of the individuals that have come into this country illegally you will be offering your home to. I am sure you would not criticize others for not welcoming the buses full of illegal immigrants into their communities unless you are willing to do this yourself. Lead by example.

\ Most small towns are overwhelmed as it is, with helping their own citizens who have fallen on hard times. No one is talking about how over-burdened our foster care system is.

What about those kids? I do agree we need to provide the basic needs for these individuals, and we can’t turn a blind eye to the situation, but it’s not right to burden our communities.

They are not the ones who created this problem.
