10:51 a.m. Two men were arrested at Parque de Vida after reports that the men were disturbing the peace. The men appeared to be highly intoxicated and one was reportedly yelling at baseball players while they played a game. One of the men was yelling, “Yeah, hit the ball like you do your girlfriend.” The men were issued summons for possessing alcohol, and one was issued a summons for disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.

Powers to train as Navy pilot

Jack Powers, 22, a 2011 graduate of Montezuma-Cortez High School, has received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of New Mexico. As a Naval ROTC student, he has also earned a commission as a Navy officer. In March, he will report to Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla., and will commence training as a student Naval aviator.
