3:46 p.m. An officer responded to the Cortez Public Library for a report of a male passed out on the floor. When the officer arrived, the man was unresponsive and didn’t wake up when the officer tapped his shoulder. The male woke when the officer applied a sternum rub. The man was asked if he had fallen and he said no, but the officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol on the man. A check through dispatch revealed the man had two confirmed warrants and was prohibited from consuming alcohol by the court. The man was arrested and transported to jail, where he...

Dolores youth earns Eagle Scout badge

It took seven years, but Evan Moore of Boy Scout Troop 518, chartered by the Mancos Hose Company No. 1, reached a goal by earning his Eagle Scout badge.

The final step in the process was his Eagle project, refurbishing the walking bridge at Mancos State Park.
