A man had called in an assault at the Lemon Tree Apartments and was waiting at the intersection of First and S. Ash Streets. The officer contacted the man who said his wife had just assaulted him. The Lakeview Harmony Club, organized by pioneer women in May 1913, is not a musical group but a community fellowship and service group. This year, the Harmony Club is celebrating its 100-year birthday.
The event will be Sunday, May 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Lakeview Commmunity Center on Road M, east of Highway 145. There will be refreshments, music and door prizes.
